CHANELLING THE CHANEL

Baru-baru ni I dapat jemputan untuk menghadiri makan malam Majlis Penghargaan Industri Filem 2008 yang diadakan di New World Hotel, Bandar Utama. Well… it is a star studded event. Bhd. melalui filem Impak Maksima. Bolehlah enjoy diorang!..

Well… for me that night is not only for me to witness all the achievements, money (really just a witness) and listen to the speeches but it is more than that. I grab this chance to also ‘witness’ what peoples are wearing. All the FINAS staff in their uniformly style batik (ermm… not bad!!) and the rest keep to their most decent, simple but some still in glamorous style. But one personality caught my attention and she is Vanida Imaran. Clad in her black with cream and white floral baju kurung. In simple make up and blow straight hair she looks so lovely with her eye candy accessory, hubby Rashidi Ishak; and that makes ladies (and maybe some men) that night think she is luckiest girl on earth.

Vanida and Shidi- ohh.. what a beautiful couple.

Me - in my straight line dot satin silk shirt I try to make the 'Vogue, high fashion attitude look' but it end up I my face look chubby.. hello.. I am slim.. dont get it wrong...

But it is more that her other half factor that make her look like a millions ringgit (more than the Marilah Berdansa price), that night . It is something that dangling from her shoulder. The CHANEL bag. That classic CHANEL (I guess its Quilted 2.55) just perfect with her black baju kurung. Very effortless and classic . This is how to carry classic CHANEL. Vanida just follow Coco Chanel advise "always take off one thing (accessory, non important clothing item) before you leave the house". This goes to say less is more. Well.. here I present you her look that night and other other 2.55 that should suppose to dangling from your neck.

CHANEL 2.55 in white

1980's quilted Chanel-yet you it is still relevant for you to carry it today..

THE WINNER THAT NIGHT IS DEFINITELY VANIDA IMRAN WITH HER CHANEL
